Refreshments

Enola’s Kitchen provides good quality food and drinks alongside great cakes and desserts.

Offering a casual dining experience that is accessible to all, in a relaxed atmosphere. Its menu changes regularly. However, the classics are always available, day in day out.

All ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible. It also incorporates sustainability to what it does, such as all food packaging being bio degradable and all glass, paper etc. being recycled. It has outdoor seating and welcomes well behaved pets.

Day services for older adults

The Sundial Day Care provides care for people from all backgrounds and cultures. Whether you are looking for regular or short term respite, we provide care, support and stimulation for older people in social isolation, including those with mild to moderate dementia.

We tailor our service to meet individual needs and aim to:

  • maintain and promote independence
  • encourage social interaction
  • restore self-esteem
  • create a lively and friendly atmosphere where everyone is made to feel welcome
  • provide a stimulating environment with a variety of activities

The Sundial supports vulnerable adults with a range of needs including mental health needs, mild learning disabilities, age related conditions and physical disabilities from all backgrounds and cultures to live independently and enhance their quality of life.

Whether you are looking for regular or short term respite or living in social isolation, we can provide care, support and stimulation for vulnerable adults including those with dementia.

Our activities including:

  • learning new skills
  • developing new hobbies, and
  • meeting and interacting with new people
  • arts, crafts and musical therapy
  • discussion and reminiscence groups
  • games and gentle exercise
  • outings and special events throughout the year.

Transport arrangements

We offer places with or without transport. If you live in or near the boundaries of the borough of Tower Hamlets, you will be able to use our adapted, fully wheelchair accessible mini-buses to transport you to and from your home. Hoists and lifting aids are available for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility.

All staff are trained to help people use this equipment safely and sensitively.

Referrals to the Sundial

You can refer yourself or be referred by the local authority. You will be allocated a key worker, who will write a care plan in consultation with you. This will set out details of the care you need and goals to help you regain your independence. You can either be referred by the local authority.

Anybody can refer someone who they think needs care and support to the council for an assessment. Referrals should be made to: The Social Care Contact Team on 020 7364 5005.

Confidentiality

All information we have about you will be kept securely on file. It will remain confidential in accordance with Peabody’s policies and the Data Protection Act.

The centre is fully accessible with a lift to the first floor and there is an induction loop at reception.
